Joel Parsons

USSS

Joel Parsons is a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service (USSS) assigned to the Cyber Intelligence Section (CIS). CIS targets high-value international cyber criminals, operates informants, supports and conducts investigations. Joel is currently detailed with the Federal Bureau of Investigation at the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF), where members to include the intelligence community and Department of Defense, coordinate, integrate, and share information to address cyber threats from a whole-of-government perspective.  Prior to joining CIS, Joel was assigned to the USSS Electronic Crimes Task Force in Newark, New Jersey, where he responded to network intrusion incidents, conducted investigations for crimes aimed at disrupting our financial infrastructure, and forensically examined digital media and devices. Prior to his employment with the USSS, Joel was a Detective for the Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) for 13 years. During his tenure with the FWPD, he was assigned as a Task Force Officer with the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation Division conducting complex money laundering investigations. Joel is both a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Ethical Hacker and earned a BBA in Accounting from Texas Christian University.
